Dodsfall Interview

1. Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?
Not much really, we were just waiting for the release of the new album “Djevelens Evangelie”

2. How would you describe your musical sound?
Black.

3. What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the new release? As always has been, Darkness, Black Hymns to Satan and now some of Black Magic and Death.

4. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the bands name?
There’s no meaning behind, we needed a name for the band so I choose something that fits perfect for the band’s concept and ideology.

5. Currently there are only  2 members in the band, are you planning on expanding the line up in the future or do you choose to remain a duo?
Future is uncertain; if everything comes well we will expand the line up for sure, a full time drummer and a bassist.

6. Has the band done any live shows or is this strictly a studio project?
Its been a studio Project so far but its been like this because of the circumstances, we are really interested now in do live shows so we are working right now on that, we expect to have the release party in Oslo soon for the new album and to play on a few Black Metal festivals in Europe on Summer next year 2014.

7. The new album came out on Obscure Abhorrence Productions, how did you get in contact with this label and how would you describe the support they have given you so far?
We have been with this label since our inception; we did what every band does, we sent a demo.
The Support has been amazing so far, great distribution and special editions released of our releases and LP too, we couldn’t find a better label to start.

8. On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?
The response has been good I think but for our new album it’s been a hell of a support to us, especially in Norway, Sweden and Germany where I consider we have more our follower’s base.

9. What is going on with the other musical projects these days?
Adramelech is busy with his other Black Metal band Svarthaueg, they will have their new album out soon. I’m working/recording right now on a Black Metal project of Kvalvaag from Nattefrost and Astaroth, we will release the debut album anytime soon too.

10. What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?
I think the same direction, we are playing Black Metal the old school way with our own sound, it will be improved every album as it has been.

11. How would you describe your views on Satanism and Occultism?
It is the best way to live life.

12. Outside of music what are some of your interests?
I am not interested in answering this question.

13. Any final words or thoughts before we wrap up this interview?
We thank you for the support and interest in DØDSFALL, Buy the new album or die…Hail Satan!
