Abhorer/Upheaval Of Blasphemy/Shivadershana Records/1993 7 Inch Review

Abhorer  where  a  band  from  Singapore  that  played  a  very  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  hybrid  of  war,  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  1993  7  inch  "Upheaval  Of  Blasphemy"  which  was  released  by  Shivadershana  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being thrown  into  the  music  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow  mid  paced  to  fast  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  riffs  that  combine  early  war  metal  with  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  chaotic  sounding  black/death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  are  all  deep  black/death  metal  growls  and  screams, while  the  lyrics  cover  satanic  and  blasphemous  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Abhorer  where  a  very  great  sounding  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  hybrid  of  war,  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this   musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Heathendom  Incarnate".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
