Forbidden Records Spring 2012 Compilation Review

This  is  a  review  of  a  spring  compilation  that  was  put  out in  2012  and  we  will  review  the  songs  one  by  one.

Draconis  Infernum  brings  us  "Regime  Of  The  Underworld"  a  very  fast,  heavy  raw  and  primitive  sounding  that  mixes  high  pitched  screams  with  deep  growls.

Next  up  is  Kult  Of  Azazel  with  "Garden  Of  Shadows"  a  very  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal  song  with  some  death  metal  influences  and  also  was  recorded  in  2000.

Next  up  is  Immolith  with  "Hymns  To  The  Countess"  a  very  fast,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal  song  with  some  lyrics  about  the  Countess  Bathory.

Next  up  is  Virvel  Av  Morkerhatet  with  "Black  North"  a  song  that  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with  some  depressive  elements.

Next  up  is  A  Transylvanian  Funeral  with  "Premonitions"  another  dark  sounding  raw  and  primitive  occult  black  metal  song  from  this  band.

Next  up  is  Thornspawn  with  "Dominions  Of  Darkness"  another  heavy,  brutal,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black/war  metal  song  from  this  legendary  band.

Next  up  is  Black  Angel  with  "Black  Angel"  a  very  old  school  sounding  dark,  raw  and  primitive  occult  black  metal  song.

Closing  the  compilation  is  Malignant  Christ  with  "Mutilation  Ritual"  a  song  that  is  more  in  the  heavy  and  brutal  blackened  death  metal  vein.

In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  black  metal.  RECOMMENDED.
